San Jose Earthquakes List of Cup Wins


MLS Cup

  • 2001: This was the first appearance for the Quakes in the MLS finals, and they were able to defeat rivals LA Galaxy 2-1 after a battle of a game. The final, game-winning goal came from Dwayne De Rosario in the 6th minute of extra time. This was the Quakes' first-ever MLS Cup win.
  • 2003: After failing to defend their title in 2002, the Quakes were set on winning the Cup again in 2003. They faced their rivals, the LA Galaxy, in the quarterfinals and were able to defeat them with an aggregate score of 5-4, with an incredible comeback in the second game, going from 0-2 all the way to 5-2. In the finals, they defeated the Chicago Fire 4-2, winning their second MLS Cup.

Supporters' Shield

  • 2005: The Quakes gained the supporter's shield in 2005 with a record of 18-4-10.
  • 2012: In 2012, the Quakes fought hard to win the supporter's shield, ultimately finishing the season with a record of 19-6-9.

US Open Cup

The Quakes have never won a US Open Cup, but made appearances in 1997 and 2017.

CONCACAF Champions Cup

The Quakes have never won a CONCACAF Championship, but were able to make appearances in 2002, 2003, and 2013.
