Team sports are played against two or more teams of players. Sports teams consist of players, coaches, and owners who work together to win. The fans of sports teams provide a community of support to cheer them on during play.
There are lots of people involved in an ice hockey team other than the players. There is the team owner, head coach, captain, alternate captain, team physicians, and back office personnel. The NHL is currently composed of 31 teams with expansion teams being added to the league in the next coming years.
