The dribbler is the player with possession of the ball, actively dribbling. Players maintain possession for their team by dribbling.
To become a better dribbler, players should practice controlling the ball with both feet. Most players will be stronger at dribbling on either the right side or the left side. If the dribbler can develop their abilities equally with both feet, they become a much more potent attacking threat.
Another word for a dribbler, ball carrier is usually used when the player is dribbling aggressively in one direction, usually towards the goal or down the wing.
