What is defense in kickball?

The defense in kickball is the team that is fielding trying to get three outs to force the second half inning. The defense can include up tow 11 fielders in some kickball leagues, but traditionally have nine fielders consisting of basemen, a pitcher, a catcher, and outfielders.
