Football Positions Ice Hockey Rink

Left Defenseman

The left defenseman is responsible for helping the goalie defend against shots on goal.

Left Winger

Known also as a wing player or forward, this player will stay mostly on the left side of the ice with a job of scoring goals.

Right Winger

Known also as a wing player or forward, this player will stay mostly on the right side of the ice with a job of scoring goals.

Right Defenseman

The right defenseman is responsible for helping the goalie defend against shots on goal.

Center

Known also as forward, this player will stay mostly in the middle of the ice with a job of scoring goals.

Goalie

The goalie, goaltender, or goalkeeper must protect against shots on goal made by opposing players.

Meet the ice hockey team. They are a group of six (6) players including a goalie, responsible for playing both offense and defense during an ice hockey game.
