Hockey Captain

Hockey Captain

The captain in hockey is the designated player on a hockey team that wears the letter C on his or her jersey. The letter C on a jersey explains that that player is the team's captain.

The letter A on hockey jerseys tell the players, coaches, and referees that that player is the alternate captain.

These players cannot be goalies. The alternate captains are designated in case the captain is not on the ice, in the penalty box, or unable to play.
