The Boston Bruins are one of the most well-known franchises in NHL history and are part of the "Original Six." The Bruins have had many legendary players in their history including Bobby Orr, Willie O'Ree, Ray Bourque, Phil Esposito, and current legends Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara. They have won six Stanley Cup championships including their most recent win in 2011 when they beat the Vancouver Canucks in seven games. The Bruins have been known to be one of the tougher teams in the history of the NHL and are often called "The Big Bad Bruins."
The Boston Bruins have been very successful of late as since they won the Stanley Cup in 2011, they have made two more trips to the finals in 2013 and most recently this past season in 2019. Unfortunately, the Bruins lost both of those matchups, perishing in six games to the Chicago Blackhawks and seven games to the St. Louis Blues respectively. The Bruins have continually been in contention and will look to continue to do so in the coming 2020 season.
