A caddie is a person who carries a golfer's golf bag and clubs, and assists the golfer with club selection, reading greens, and provides mental/emotional support. A caddie also assists the golfer calculate the distance to the hole and certain spots on the golf course. Professional golfers use caddies in tournaments and amateurs can also use caddies, depending on if a particular course has caddy services.
The ideal golfer embraces the challenge and rigor associated with this difficult game and demonstrates good sportsmanship and integrity during the course of play. Each golfer has his own approach to the game with the goal of shooting a good score, but also having fun!
