Soccer Penalty Shootout
A method for determining the winning team of a match. The procedure has each team alternate taking penalty kicks towards the opposing team's goalkeeper. When a game is tied at the end of both regulation and extra time a penalty shootout takes place to determine the winner of the match. Each team chooses five (5) players to take penalty kicks. The kickers from each team alternate taking penalties at the opposing teams goalkeeper. Whichever team makes the most out of the five (5) penalty kicks wins the game. If the score is tied after both teams have taken five (5) shots, then new players are chosen to take penalty kicks until one team makes it and the other misses.
