Goal Line Technology

Goal line technology enables teams to review a referee's decision on the field as it relates to a goal being scored. In soccer, a goal is only scored if it completely passes the goal line.

Referee's have a watch on their arm that receives a signal by goal line technology when a goal is scored. This all happens within one second of a goal being scored.

REMEMBER: Goals can be scored by any player and in any team's goal. However, a point will be earned by the other team, if a player scores in his own team's goal.

Types of Goal Line Technology Systems

There are three standards to certified goal line technology.

  1. FIFA Quality Pro
