“Red Light, Green Light” Rules

In “Red Light, Green Light,” there is a starting line and a finish line.

There is one person who is “It,” and plays as the traffic light.

To begin, everyone lines up on the starting line.

The traffic light stands with their back to the players.

When the traffic light says, “Green light,” everyone starts to move towards the finish line.

When the traffic light says, “Red light,” everyone must freeze right away.

When the traffic light says, “Red light,” they spin around to face the players.

If the traffic light sees you move after they say “Red light,” you must return to the starting line and begin again.

The traffic light spins back away from the players and says “Green light,” so the players can move again.

The game ends when everyone has crossed the finish line.

If played outside, players can run to the finish line.

Be careful when running if you are inside, and don’t run into other players!
