Duck, Duck, Goose Rules

To play “Duck, Duck, Goose,” you usually need at least five players.

First, get all of your players together.

Next, choose one of the players to be “It.”

Everyone who is not It sits down in a circle.

The person who is It walks around the circle and taps each person on the head as they pass.

Be sure not to tap too hard!

Every time the person who is It taps someone on the head, they must say either, “Duck” or “Goose.”

If the person who is It says, “Duck,” nothing happens.

When the person who is It says, “Goose,” the player who was named Goose has to get up and chase the person who is It, trying to tag them.

The person who is It has to try to sit down in the Goose’s old spot before getting tagged.

If the Goose tags the person who is It, the Goose gets to sit down in their old spot, and the person who is It remains It.

If the person who is It sits down in the Goose’s spot before they get tagged, the Goose is now It.

Keep playing for as long as you want!
