New England Patriots

The New England Patriots was formed in 1959 as a member of the AFL. In 1970, the Patriots joined the NFL. Famous Patriots players include Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Tedy Bruschi.

The New England Patriots is a team that covers all states and fans in the Greater Boston area. They are a popular team among New England states, like Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The team's home stadium is Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Since 2000, the Patriots' coach has been Bill Belichick.

The New England Patriots are known for accumulating many Super Bowls titles and being one of the most challenging teams to beat. A lot of wins have been attributed to the team because of highly esteemed quarterback Tom Brady. Brady has been on the team since 2000 and has won six Super Bowl titles. He holds the record for the largest number of passing yards thrown.

Although the Patriots seem unbeatable, one of their most significant championship losses occurred in 2018 after the Patriots suffered a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Since this was a game against a team that had never won a title before, the loss was surprising. However, in 2019, the Patriots regained their Super Bowl title.

Some notable rivals include the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and the Baltimore Ravens.

Brady has beat out nearly every quarterback of the Buffalo Bills that has played since his start in 2000. The Miami Dolphins were a top competitor for years before Brady became an essential player to the team.

There is a large fan base for the New England Patriots. Pat the Patriot is the mascot of the New England Patriots, alongside with the New England Patriots Cheerleaders (NEPC), the Patriots' cheerleading squad.

Fun fact: In 2017, the Patriots bought two airplanes to use as team planes to fly out the players to away games. Keep reading to see if the Patriots pop up in any other forms of football basics.
