What are Football Jerseys?
In order to distinguish between teams while on the football field, each team must wear a unique jersey that identifies each player as part of their team. While jerseys used to be very heavy before the invention of pads, modern jerseys are lighter and stronger for players to wear. They also include moisture-wicking materials, preventing jerseys from feeling heavier in rain and keeping them cool during hot games. Jerseys typically have the team's name on the front as well as the player's jersey number. The back of the jersey may or may not have the player's last name, as well as their jersey number. These jerseys are placed over the pads necessary to protect players from injury and must be strong enough to withstand hard hits and tough tackles.
