Curling Points Per Game

Over the course of a season, teams will score different amounts of points in each game they play. Furthermore, your opponents will also score different amounts of points in each game. For example, your team may win a game 5-2, but lose a game 9-7. Therefore, the amount of points you score per game may not accurately reflect your team’s record in a curling league. Thus, we rely on two different statistics to figure out how many points a team scores and gives up per game.

Points per Game

In curling, there are two statistics related to points per game. They are:

  1. Points For per Game
  2. Points Against per Game

Points For per Game

The points for per game statistic reveals the average amount of points that your team scores per game. This statistic is calculated by adding up the total amount of points your team scored from all the games played, and then dividing that by the amount of games your team has played.

Points Against per Game

The points against per game statistic reveals the average amount of points that your opponent scores per game. This statistic is calculated by adding up the total amount of points your opponent scored from all the games played, and then dividing that by the amount of games your team has played.
