What is an Editor?

Editors are the reviewers and fact-checkers of Rookie Road. As an editor you will be responsible for editing, reviewing, fact-checking, and fixing up original content with the goal of making it high-quality and reliable. You will explore a wide-range of topics covering every sport imaginable from wood chopping to American football.

In recent events, there has been a lot of disinformation on social media, and the Internet. At Rookie Road, we take quality and reliability very seriously. We believe that good content is factually correct and unbiased, allowing the reader to formulate their own opinions.

As an editor you play a key role in making sure the content is the best it can be.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To review and edit high-quality, engaging content on a given topic
  • To work on a variety of sports, pieces, and types of content
  • To enhance and improve your editing and grammar skills
  • To gain industry experience working as an editor in a startup environment
  • To meet other editors from around the world!
  • To treat everyone with respect
  • To continue to improve their skills to be the best in their field

Required Skills

  • High-school level writing and grammar abilities
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft word
  • Highly communicative and efficient with time

Optional Skills

  • Sports knowledge in at least one major sport.
  • Bilingual or experience writing in another language other than U.S. English
