What is a Designer?

Graphic Designers are skilled artists and illustrators who make graphics for all content at Rookie Road. As a graphic designer you will create original high-quality graphics that bring the content to life. You will explore a wide-range of styles and gain experience with creating graphics from scratch using branded guidelines. You will explore a wide-range of topics covering every sport imaginable from wood chopping to American football.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To create high-quality, engaging graphics on a given topic
  • To work on a variety of sports and types of graphics
  • To enhance and improve your illustration skills
  • To gain industry experience working as a digital designer in a startup environment
  • To meet other designers from around the world!
  • To treat everyone with respect
  • To continue to improve their skills to be the best in their field

Required Skills

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong ability to create hand-drawn designs
  • Highly communicative and efficient with time

Optional Skills

  • User Interface and User Experience design in programs such as Sketch or Adobe XD
  • Experience with other design tools such as ProCreate and Adobe Indesign
  • Experience with tablets and creating hand-drawn illustrations
  • Experience in branding and logo creation
  • Sports knowledge
  • Bilingual or experience writing in another language other than U.S. English
