Basketball Air Pressure

In the sport of basketball, the ball itself needs to be properly inflated in order to serve its purpose. If it is over-inflated or under-inflated, it will not bounce properly for the players. Inflating is done using a ball pump before the game starts. A basketball needs to be inflated to 8 PSI (pounds per square inch). If the game ball is not properly inflated, the referee will do so or find a different ball.
